A quantum physicist by training, Dr. Hugo Flayac was inspired to create csky.ai in 2022 after working as an AI team leader in the healthcare sector. He saw the transformative potential of AI in healthcare, as well as the privacy concerns that blocked implementation.
As csky.ai grows, he aims to accelerate the transition to user-owned data in every sector.
A physicist and machine learning engineer, Dr. Stefano Zamuner met Hugo at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) and joined his mission to create a private-by-design AI device.
He oversees R&D on the software and hardware fronts, working closely with organizations from a variety of industries to customize each ClearMind device.
With extensive project management experience in hospitality and events, Josephine brings operational expertise to csky.ai.
Her skills in process optimization and strategic communication support company growth. Previously at MCI Suisse, she now streamlines operations while maintaining excellence.
With a Master's in Robotics from EPFL, Alaa Abboud's research and industry expertise cover TinyML, Edge ML, Generative Deep Learning, Affective Computing, 2D and 3D Computer Vision, and Neural Radiance Fields.
As a machine learning engineer at csky.ai, he optimizes the ClearMind device by fine-tuning models based on real-world data.
With a Master's in Robotics from EPFL, Nay Abi Akl is passionate about leveraging her expertise in data science, programming, machine learning, and computer vision to create solutions that make a difference.
As a data scientist at csky.ai, she drives continuous improvement and innovation for the ClearMind device.
Aleix Fontcuberta has studied theoretical physics and machine learning, focusing on applying ML to time-series data.

Founded in 2022 by two EPFL alumni, Hugo Flayac, a quantum physicist turned applied AI expert, and Stefano Zamuner, a researcher in complex systems and machine learning engineer, csky.ai was born from a shared vision: it is possible to build powerful, privacy-first AI that empowers users without compromising confidentiality.
With a background that bridges cutting-edge research and real-world industry needs, Hugo and Stefano set out to build something new: a secure, embedded AI assistant capable of understanding professional conversations, generating summaries and structured reports, all without sending a single byte to the cloud
